A number of Business Improvement Districts (BID) in partnership with City of Westminster and the Metropolitan Police Service have awarded a contract to Audiolink to supply and maintain a multi-site digital two-way radio and call monitoring/recording system. The system is called SafetyLink and instantly connects over 400 portable radios to the Westminster CCTV control centre via a powerful software package. This allows retailers, businesses, hotels, restaurants, pubs and clubs to instantly contact each other and their local police via their SafetyLink radio, meaning that theft, anti-social behaviour and disorder issues can be deterred and reported in real time, recorded and solved as quickly as possible.

A Business Improvement District (BID) is a business led partnership working with relevant public agencies and associations to improve the trading performance in a specific area and to make it a more pleasant place in which to shop, visit, work and live.
